Meet Dr. Gonzalo La Cava

Gonzalo La Cava is a passionate and committed educator with over 25 years of public school experience, dedicated to improving operational effectiveness and efficiencies. From his start as a teacher to his role as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), Dr. La Cava understands the critical importance of operational excellence in public education.

Recognized for his leadership in Human Capital and Transformational Change, Dr. La Cava has been featured in Leading Learning: Change Student Achievement Today!, Education Week, and Hispanic Executive. His impact on academic achievement has also earned him acknowledgment from the White House as a Champion of Change. Additionally, his division received the prestigious Governor’s Award for Operational Excellence from the Sterling Council.

Dr. La Cava possesses in-depth knowledge of HR best practices, encompassing talent acquisition, retention, HR analytics, change management, and organizational design.

He is a certified coach from the Coaching Training Alliance, a graduate of the Future Chiefs leadership development program, and holds multiple degrees from the University of Central Florida.
